In March 2022, together with like-minded people, they created their medical evacuation crew and joined the volunteer unit. After the liberation of Kyiv region, they went to Kharkiv and took part in the de-occupation of Kharkiv region. Then they worked as part of the "Hospitaliers" volunteer battalion. After that, they worked as an evacuation group in the Lyman direction, in the Kremin forests, until the counteroffensive in Zaporizhzhia in June 2023. The "FLASH" unit cooperated with the special units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GURMO) and the Special Operations Forces (SSO) during the counteroffensive. In the winter of 2024, they took part in the battles near Kupyansk as part of the medical company of the 95th DShB.
