"Beyond the Boundaries of Pain" is an autobiographical story by Osyp Turyansky about the "road of death" through the Albanian mountains, which was passed by prisoners of the Austro-Hungarian army. It is one of the most important works of Ukrainian literature about the First World War, which gained recognition primarily in the West.
"Beyond the Pain" is not only a story about the horrors of war, but also evidence that by clinging to something dear and bright, one can overcome even the path of death.
