The war reached Mariupol back in 2014. It was then that Ukrainian troops liberated the city and held the front lines of Sector “M”—Shyrokyne, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Talakivka, and Granitne—for years.
This is the very patch worn by the defenders of Sector “M.” Today, it has been revived and refined by a veteran of that sector’s defense—as a reminder of the time when Mariupol was already holding its ground.
Sector “M”. Mariupol.
A memory passed down through the generations.
