The book "Reflections Among the Peaks"

In contrast to Julius Evola's passion for trying to understand the spiritual and metaphysical heights of human thought, we find in him another concrete and practical aspect of his personal interests, namely: in the twenties and thirties of the 20th century, the traditionalist philosopher engaged in the riskiest mountaineering, making ascents of the highest, sixth, level of difficulty, climbing the icy vertical slopes of mountains. He wrote about his experiences in publications published by publishing houses specializing in this topic (Rivista Mensile del Club Alpino Italiano) and in the press addressed to ordinary readers (daily editions Il Lavoro d'Italia, Corriere Padano, Il Regime fascista, Rome), not only skillfully transforming his own experience in the light of mythology, symbolism and high spirituality, but also combining it with everyday life, with the changes taking place in society, and with the latest interpretation of politics.
