The Vikings were known as fearless, skilled, and strong warriors. But according to Norse mythology, the most famous for their cruelty and lack of fear were the berserkers. They fought without armor or helmets, wearing wolf skins from which they absorbed the strength and fury of the wolf. These warriors worshipped Odin and fought in a frenzied, uncontrollable trance, similar to a shaman.
