Perun is the god of the sky, the lord of thunder and lightning, the patron of warriors. He, the son of Belobog, was the most important in the pantheon of Slavic gods. During the medieval Ukrainian state of Rus, idols of Perun were erected on the hills, to which weapons, gold and food were placed.
