During World War II, the American military had a tradition of depicting pin-up girls riding bombs on the sides of bombers and even on the bombs themselves. Such images helped to raise morale, served as a kind of amulet, and also as elements of personalization of aircraft. We decided to imagine what a pin-up would have looked like in the Middle Ages.
