Transdnieper Ukraine, also Transdnieper, Transdnieper, Podneprov'ya - a historical and geographical part of Ukraine, which originally included the central and northern regions of Ukraine with the center in Kyiv, that is, only the Middle Dnieper Region. An ancient Ukrainian geographical and historical region. It is defined by the valley of the Dnieper River. Anthropologically, it mainly belongs to the Central Ukrainian region, except for the Lower Dnieper Region, where there is a certain influence of the Iranian component. It occupies the lands on the left and right sides of the Dnieper, which lie in the immediate valley of the Dnieper and the valleys of small and medium rivers-tributaries of the Dnieper, as well as the approximate lands of large tributaries. It is divided into the Upper, Middle and Lower Dnieper Regions.
